Together with Ningbo University, the Group operates a digital-intelligence engineering institute. The program targets an AI energy brain — sensing, edge processing, control algorithms, vertical models, and agents — so storage and power assets move from monitoring to decision-making.
AI + new energy
Research themes include intelligent forecasting, proactive O&M, virtual power plants, compute-aware dispatch, pipeline power, ion generation, phase-change materials, and compressed-air energy storage.
- Perception devices and information processing
- Control and decision algorithms
- Network platforms, vertical large models, and agents

Pipeline power generation
Intelligent pipeline equipment that recovers residual fluid pressure as electricity while regulating flow and pressure — replacing conventional throttle valves and powering end devices without an external supply.
- Residual-pressure generation and flow/pressure control
- Self-power for meters, sensors, and communication terminals
- Unattended operation with remote opening and power optimization
- Flange-standard, in-situ replacement; modular, low-maintenance design
Applications: DMA district metering, industrial circulating water, irrigation pipelines, small hydropower, and other closed pipes without grid access.

Ion power generation
Self-powered monitoring based on ion-flow and triboelectric effects. Fluid energy generates electricity while ion time-of-flight detection tracks composition — no external power required.
- Friction-electric and streaming-potential generation
- Real-time ion-concentration monitoring
- Wireless upload to the operations platform
Use cases: industrial circulating-water quality, pipeline composition alarms, environmental water monitoring, and process control in remote or enclosed sites.

International & logistics energy
Off-grid household PV is the spearhead for Africa, with expansion into Southeast Europe and Southeast Asia, including installment payment models for communities without reliable electricity.
In logistics parks and cold chain, PV–storage–charging and mobile storage support electric heavy trucks and refrigerated fleets.
